Prosimet’s laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation, capable of conducting precise tests on all stages of the production cycle: from the selection and characterization of raw materials to quality control on the finished product.
Day-to-day activities ensure the repeatable performance,production efficiency and operational safety of products used in continuous casting and ingot casting.

The Research & Development Department represents the driving force behind the company’s technological evolution. With an international, multidisciplinary team of chemists, materials engineers, and metallurgical engineers, Prosimet is able to study tailored technical solutions for every type of steel, process, and casting format.
Some of our R&D activities include the development of environmentally friendly and low fluoride-emitting products, optimization of insulating and lubricating properties of powders, testing of new functional materials for new applications, and modeling and simulation of thermal and chemical phenomena in the casting process.
