Lubrication and oxidation protection in high-temperature systems
The products in the Prolayer range are applied for lubrication or oxidation protection in high-temperature systems.
Where there are metal parts in relative motion and the working temperature is greater than 850÷900 °C, the application of a product such as Prolayer can be considered.
Prolayer at the operating temperature of the system, it transforms into a lubricant layer whose rheological properties can be calibrated for the specific application maximizing the most significant parameters such as wear resistance, productivity, and quality from time to time. The layer can also be functionalized to protect the metal from oxidation or to create a thin refractory surface.
Prolayer is easily applied to metal parts by thermal spraying under very mild conditions almost like a normal coating in which the surface to be covered is at a temperature of about 70÷100 °C.
Prolayer is a product from time to time designed according to specific customer needs.
