How
works
The product, fed from above into the inside of the ingot, acts by forming a liquid slag on the surface of the steel and infiltrating between the two surfaces and provides better lubrication and more homogeneous heat transfer along that length of the ingot that is not achievable through the use of conventional casting oil.
The resulting uniformity from cooling in the ingot allows for a significant improvement in product quality and generates a strong reduction in distortion in billet shape (rhombohedrality);
