Proteem ‘s main product categories include:
Proteem 4XX AT
aluminosilicate-based powders, characterized by excellent insulating properties and excellent surface diffusion on the tundish due to the spray-dried format. Powders with the suffix -BG, containing expandable graphite, allow casting for long sequences.
Proteem MB-XX AT
powders formulated with magnesium silicates designed to reduce erosion of the tundish refractory lining. These powders can be used on long sequences with less material wear.
Proteem MX-XX AT
magnesium oxide-based powders developed to minimize reactions between steel and refractory materials, contributing to greater metallurgical process stability.
Proteem BCXX (AT)
active basic tundish powders designed to form a liquid layer capable of absorbing nonmetallic inclusions (NMIs) present in steel. These powders are generally used in a double-layer configuration along with an insulating product, and are available in both powder and atomized granule formats.
