Over 50 years of innovation and success

Prosimet was established in 1969 with the aim of producing and marketing chemical products used in steel production.

With more than 30 years of solid experience in the development of products for steel casting, Prosimet has, over time, developed an in-depth knowledge in the technology of mould powders: today most of the production activity is concentrated on mould and tundish fluxes. During all these years of activity more than one billion tons of steel have been cast with Prosimet products.

Prestigious strategic partnerships

Prosimet’s success at international level is particularly due to the constant attention to innovation, continuous R&D activities and to collaborations with the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Milan – Departments of Physics-Chimics and Geology – and with the Politecnico di Milano – Department of Metallurgy.

In 2016 Prosimet signed a distribution agreement with the RHI-Magnesita group, world leader in the refractories sector, thanks to which its products are proposed and distributed worldwide as a complement to RHI-Magnesita products.

The increasing attention to the customer has led to the fruitful cooperation with Ergolines Lab Srl, a leading company in the engineering of plants in the steel industry, for the design and implementation of a feeding system of casting fluxes. Recently the same concept has been implemented also for the feeding of the innovative Proil™ product.

CUBQ: our transport partner

Prosimet has signed a collaboration agreement with the Russian transport company CUBQ Ltd.

CUBQ assists our company, in an active and constant way, in the shipment of our products to various steel mills on the Russian market.

CUBQ has a fleet of 120 Eurotrailers of its own, this gives us an important flexibility and speed in deliveries.

Their exclusive partner approach dedicated to us allows us to have the best service for our needs, respecting all our peculiarities.

An integral part of CUBQ's corporate philosophy is partnership and this allows us, and has allowed us, even during the most difficult period of COVID, to guarantee stability and continuity in deliveries.

For Prosimet quality is an essential element for customer satisfaction and the ISO 9001 certification, obtained for the first time in May 1993, is proof of the continuous commitment to improvement in all business processes with the aim of meeting customer requirements.

For these reasons and always with a view to continuous improvement, Prosimet has also obtained ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications.
